Demonstration Programs

Two demonstration programs are available, for each of Windows, Linux and Mac. The main Winteracter demo shows off many of the product's GUI and graphics capabilities. The OpenGL demo concentrates on 3D graphics, using both direct calls to OpenGL and Winteracter's own, easier to use, 3D modelling interface.

All demo file sets include a readme.txt file providing more information.

Windows Demos
Winteracter 16.0
OpenGL
These demos run on Windows XP or later (32-bit or 64-bit). Each download is a self-extracting executable. Simply run the downloaded program and you will be prompted for an installation directory. The demo will be executed as soon as extraction is complete, provided you leave the "Run demo on completion" check box enabled.

Linux Demos
X/Winteracter 16.0
OpenGL
These are the same demos for 64-bit Linux systems based on glibc 2.4 or higher. Each Linux demo download is a gzipped tar file. Extract the files from the downloaded archive using a tar command of the form tar xzf xdemo_linux_x64.tar.gz, then run wintdemo or gldemo.

Mac Demos
X/Winteracter 16.0
OpenGL
These are 64-bit versions of the same demos for the Mac, running on an Intel processor. They rely on the Mac X server (X11 or XQuartz). X11 is installed was part of the operating system on Mac OS X 10.5-10.7. As of OS X 10.8, the X server should be downloaded from the XQuartz web site. Each Mac demo download is a gzipped tar file. Extract the files from the downloaded archive in a xterm or Terminal window, using a tar command of the form tar xzf xdemo_macosx_x64.tar.gz, then run wintdemo or gldemo.
